"We just returned from staying a full week in the Bear Paw Cabin. We had a wonderful time just relaxing at the cabin and exploring the immediate lakes and river. We also took several short day trips by canoe in the Ely area. We saw moose, eagles, herons and other interesting
wildlife on these trips. Jim and Joan are great hosts and we definitely intend on returning for another week or two in the future."

"Went on a guided day trip with Jim - we had the best day of smallmouth fishing that we had hoped for! Incredible!! Lots of 18" plus fish. Jim did an outstanding job of keeping us on fish in howling wind. Looking forward to another trip back to find some more fish with Jim."
