What is the BWCAW and Quetico Park?
BWCAW or BWCA stands for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. It is located in Northern Minnesota as part of the Superior National Forest. With 1 million acres of wilderness, the BWCAW is the largest wilderness area east of the Rocky Mountains. Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park is located on the other side of the border in Ontario. Quetico Park boasts 2 million acres of wilderness for a combined 3 million acres of outdoor adventure.
