Rent our beautiful new Otter Den Lake Home (4-bedroom/2 bathroom) now through the end of April!  

With 2 queen beds, 6 full size beds, 2 full bathrooms, fireplace, large kitchen with island and dishwasher – it’s the perfect rental for extended families, a group of men or a girl’s getaway.

Dogs are NOT allowed in the Otter Den Lake Home.
We do allow dogs in our 2-bedroom seasonal cabins opened May-September.

Snowmobiling

The town of Ely has plenty of food, entertainment and service centers. With hundreds of miles of well-groomed MN snowmobile trails well-groomed MN snowmobile trails accessible from Moose Track Adventures, the wooded hills and rolling terrain of northeast Minnesota is easily within reach

Cross Country Skiing

Strap on your skis and set out on a wintertime adventure.

The Ely area has a plethora of machine-groomed or user-tracked trails to choose from, the Trezona Trail (6.5km), Hidden Valley Cross Country Ski Trails (25km+), and more are just a short drive from Moose Track Adventures.

For back-county enthusiast, there are some beautiful user-tracked trails, including South Farm, North Arm and North Junction ski trails.

Take in the splendor of the Ely area with just a pair of skis and the sounds of nature around you.

 

Ely Ice Fishing

The hard water season is a great time to drill some holes and try your hand at catching some fish through the ice.

Farm lake has plenty of opportunities to pursue some walleye, northern pike and crappies.

We are located near some lakes that contain Lake trout and stream trout.

Ely Dog Sledding

Try the exhilarating experience of dog sledding and take the beauty of winter in Ely, MN.

Enjoy a unique experience in the Sled Dog Capital of the World.

Drive your own dog team, or simply hang on for the ride as they bound through miles of trails with one of Ely’s many sled dog guides.

Don’t worry—there’s no need to be an expert. Your guide can show you everything!

Snowshoeing

There are many good reasons to go off trail, and the chance to see wildlife is definitely one of them. Snowshoes can take you into places not easily accessed by ski or snowmobile, so bundle up, strap on a pair (3 pairs of adults size and 2 pairs of youth size – complimentary use) from Moose Track Adventures and explore the untouched areas of the Northwoods.

Winter Hiking

Bundle yourself up and embark on a wintery adventure on Ely’s best hiking trails. Take a lengthy daytrip through the forests of Ely or just a few hours to enjoy the scenery. Hiking in the winter is a completely different experience than the rest of the year, with the entire forest frozen in white.
